Holdall

Every browser's tabs in one window, with their logins, so any tab opens in any browser, signed in.

Holdall's icon: browser windows stacked into one

Mac app

What it does

  • All tabs, one window. Every linked browser's open tabs, live. A browser's tabs stay visible while it's closed.
  • Recently Closed. Every tab you close is kept, to reopen in any browser.
  • Open anything anywhere. Open a tab or saved link in another browser, and its login comes along.
  • Default browser. See which browser opens web links, and switch it from the app or the menu bar.
  • Passwords. Saved, encrypted, when you sign in. Fill them into any linked browser. They never leave the Mac.
  • Saved links and logins. Keep links, and a site's login, to sign any linked browser in later.
  • Passkey linking. Link a browser from inside it with Touch ID, or with one click from the app.
  • MCP for agents. Claude Code and other agents can list and reopen tabs and fill passwords, without ever seeing them.

Works with

AsideDiaYabOther Chrome-based browsers

Safari can only open links: it can't share its tabs or keep logins. Private windows are never shared.

Status

PrivateMac only

Made for my own Mac. It holds logins and passwords, so it isn't up for download.

Ideas

  • Send a friend a tab without your logins in it.
  • Tabs that tidy themselves away after a week, kept for later.
  • A timeline of what you had open on any day.

Want one of these, or something wilder? Let's make it.
